Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group is seeking a Lead Press Operator to manage the night shift for a servo-driven narrow web press. You will oversee safety, quality, productivity, and uptime while coaching press operators and production staff.

The role requires hands-on press operation, setup, and problem solving, with strong communication and leadership skills. Competitive pay, PTO, and growth opportunities are offered. This position is based in Sioux Falls, SD.

Qualifications

• Experience operating servo-driven narrow web flexographic presses.
• Strong knowledge of UV and/or water-based inks.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues independently.
• Experience leading a night shift preferred.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support night-shift flexographic press operations, ensuring safety and quality.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot a servo-driven narrow web flexographic or digital hybrid press.
• Serve as first point of escalation for press, ink, or quality issues on shift.
• Review job tickets and specs to ensure proper materials and press setup.
• Prepare presses for production: substrates, plates, tooling, and registration.
• Monitor ink distribution, viscosity, press speed, and curing to maintain quality.
• Coach and mentor operators, reinforce best practices and safety.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance to resolve issues and maintain schedule.
• Perform routine press maintenance and minor repairs; address needs promptly.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and company policies are followed on shift.
