Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet vehicles used for delivering Lay's, Doritos and Cheetos. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with experienced mechanics on complex repairs.

The role runs on a night shift (10 PM to 6:30 AM), may require weekend work, CDL is noted for some returns, and a valid D10K certification is required. PepsiCo offers on-the-job training and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• You are at least 21 years of age or older.
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift.
• You have a valid D10K Certification.
• Your driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years.
• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You have the ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• You will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required).
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
