Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Senior Fleet Maintenance Specialist in Green Bay to work with drivers, vendors and internal associates in an in-office setting when equipment breaks down and repairs are needed. The Senior Fleet Maintenance Specialist will estimate repair times and communicate the availability of equipment to others in the organization.

The role requires knowledge of diesel repair, DOT regulations, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years diesel or automotive repair experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and accidents via calls/messages.
• Provide guidance and analysis on breakdowns and repairs.
• Diagnose root causes and interpret fault codes for repairs.
• Negotiate and manage outside repair solutions for cost and quality.
• Use critical thinking to balance cost, service and operations.
