Job summary

Cassavant Machining, Inc. is seeking a motivated First Article Inspector for the night shift in Phoenix, AZ to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing team. This role supports highly automated machining cells dedicated to precision quality and process control.

You will perform first article/first piece inspections using CMMs and precision gages, interpret GD&T, and document results. The position requires 5+ years aerospace FAI experience and strong GD&T knowledge, with 40+ hours weekly on

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years aerospace experience with First Article/First Piece Inspection.
• Strong Hexagon CMM experience required.
• Experience with dial bore gages, Mueller gages, indicator mics, Sunnen gages.
• Must be very knowledgeable of GD&T.
• Experience in fast paced environment.
• Self-starter and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article inspections on aerospace components using CMMs and precision gauges.
• Interpret GD&T drawings and document inspection results accurately.
• Collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure quality in a high-automation setting.
