Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of construction inspection experience required.
• Knowledge in construction techniques, reading plans, and methods.
• Experience with NJTA, NJDOT, county or municipal clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications for compliance with regulations.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and materials.
• Prepare daily reports and quantity measurements.
• Communicate with contractors and Resident Engineer daily.

Skills

Strong organization and communication skills

Strong computer proficiency

Active driver’s license and passing motor vehicle screening

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or engineering technology
