Job summary

Fremont Farms of Iowa seeks an overnight Mill Operator to produce high quality animal feed and manage the feed mill process with attention to equipment and safety. Initial hours run 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., transitioning to 6:00 p.m.

to 4:00 a.m. with a 10–12 hour shift as production needs require. You will unload trucks, maintain a clean work area, operate a computer-controlled system, and collaborate with operations staff to ensure accurate feed production and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years related experience as a Feed Mill Operator/Industrial Maintenance; or equivalent education/experience preferred.
• Awareness of feed mill mechanical operations and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage ingredient process flow from receiving to loadout.
• Receive ingredients and maintain feed mill, warehouse, bins and related equipment.
• Coordinate finished feed production runs for layer and pullet farms.
• Perform or coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of mill equipment.
• Understand internal feed computer systems and process paperwork.
