Job summary

Fixx Energy LLC is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Smyrna, TN to sustain daily plant uptime. The role balances preventive maintenance with reactive repairs to keep equipment safe and efficient in a high‑voltage setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring dry-room conditions, maintaining ISO 14001 and OSHA compliance, and using CMMS for work orders and inventory. The candidate will handle electrical, mechanical, and piping systems and respond to emergencies 24/7.

Qualifications

2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience with HVAC, compressed air, and chilled water systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting 480V 3‑phase electrical systems and interpreting schematics.
Experience with industrial refrigeration and humidity-controlled environments.
Knowledge of process piping for deionized water, compressed air, and chemical delivery.
Basic understanding of PLCs and Building Management Systems.
Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural drawings.
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to use maintenance software.
Knowledge of IATF-16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO 14001 standards.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment including oil changes, filter replacements, and belt tensioning for air handlers, compressors, and pumps.
Monitor dry-room conditions, dew point, and relative humidity within tolerances.
Maintain ISO 14001 and OSHA compliance; manage hazardous waste disposal and chemical storage compliance.
Replace electrical components and assist with 480V motor replacements and troubleshooting.
Repair leaks in piping and support installation of new utility drops for equipment.
Handle general building tasks, including carpentry, painting, and flooring in cleanrooms.
Monitor chemical drum levels and swap containers following safety protocols.
Serve as primary responder to facility emergencies (power outages, gas leaks, fire suppression).
Use CMMS to track work orders, spare-parts inventory, and equipment history.
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC, chillers, air compressors, and wastewater systems.
Maintain ultra-low dew-point dry rooms and ensure desiccant performance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures in utility systems.
