Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead for our Round Lake Beach, IL facility. The role entails providing leadership for the Facilities Maintenance Department and supervising on shift, with a focus on mechanical and electrical system troubleshooting and repair.

The position includes night shift on a 12-hour schedule (6:00 pm–6:30 am), collaboration with engineers, vendors, and customers, and responsibilities spanning PMs/CMs/EMS using Maximo.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer technical school training.
• 4+ years of maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience with water for injection preferred.
• Experience with Baxter specifications and control systems desired.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and basic Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance projects for mechanical and electrical systems and develop root‑cause solutions to improve reliability.
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Supervisor as part of the Facilities Leadership Team.
• Deliver technical training to all mechanic levels.
• Oversee maintenance work and coordinate activities of mechanics.
• Hire and manage contract labor for small projects and escalate as needed for larger projects.
• Coordinate system shutdowns with other departments to minimize production impact.
• Perform PMs, CMs, and EMS using Maximo.
