Job summary

ISCO Industries, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Fabricator to fabricate and assemble polyethylene pipe, read blueprints, and follow quality procedures. You will operate fusion equipment, cranes, and forklifts, and maintain accurate material records while lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods.

Training on day shift precedes the evening shift. The role offers a standard benefits package (medical/dental/vision), 401k, and a $18+ hourly rate with potential $1 shift differential on

Qualifications

• High School (preferred).
• Read blueprints and product drawings to determine materials and tools.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used on tickets.
• Lift up to 40 lbs regularly and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings and tickets to determine materials and tools.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure the assembled product meets specs.
• Keep accurate records of materials used; pull items from inventory.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment; follow safety procedures.
• Operate fusion and fast-fusion equipment, cranes and forklifts.
• Use hand tools, saws and cutting equipment; perform related duties.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand long periods.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay Range: $18+ (Depending on Experience)

• +$1 shift differential, once on 2nd shift

Shift: Mon. - Fri., 5:00p - 3:30a

Description

Fabricators are responsible for fabricating and assembling polyethylene pipe to create a variety of customized structures such as: fittings, valves, T's, Y's, elbows, aqua shields, geothermal vaults, manholes, dual containment units, pumps, gas aeration lines and similar structures that meet customer specifications by performing the following duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings and pic ticket orders to determine materials, tools and equipment needed to complete work
• Follows quality control procedures to ensure that the assembled, fabricated product meets customer specifications
• Upholds accurate records of materials used on "ticket"; locates and pulls required materials from inventory
• Maintains clean work area and equipment; following safety procedures concerning use of equipment and materials to maintain safe working conditions
• Operates ISCO's fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes and forklifts
• Utilizes a variety of hand tools, saws and cutting equipment and performs other related duties as assigned
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
