Job summary

Pregis Corporation in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Assistant Operator / Extrusion Technician for the night shift (5:45PM - 6:00AM, rotating 2-2-3).

You will support the production team with administrative tasks, maintain a clean, safe work environment, perform basic quality tests, read work orders, manage resin levels, handle roll changes, prepare labels, and assist with shutdowns and air treatment setup as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred in a science-related field.
• Experience with quality in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Adhere to BRC, GMP, and PPE policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Sweep and organize the work area to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Perform basic quality tests on products using specified equipment and procedures.
• Record test results accurately and report any deviations to supervisors.
• Read and understand work orders to ensure accurate production tasks.
