Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure is seeking an Extruder Operator for a 3rd shift (11pm-7am) in East Granby, CT. The role insulates bare wire conductors using an extrusion line and requires following technical instructions, recording documentation, and ensuring quality control.

The successful candidate will operate and adjust the extrusion line, monitor for issues, and communicate with the supervisor while adhering to safety and process guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the extrusion line and accessory equipment.
• Capable of setting up and operating the extruder to insulate bare wire conductors.
• Understand and perform tasks per instruction sheets and posted instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate issues to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of extrusion line/equipment, including control panels and related components.
• Set up and operate extruder to insulate conductors of various sizes.
• Monitor for faulty operation, defective materials and process problems; report to supervisor.
• Complete workcenter documentation: OD/wall charts, lot records, traveler reel tags, and labor reports.
• Follow MIT, quality checklists and safe work practice summaries.
