Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure is seeking an Extruder Operator for the 3rd shift in East Granby, CT. You will operate and set up the extrusion line to insulate bare wire conductors, verify specs, and complete required documentation.

You will follow MITs and quality checklists, monitor for faults, and communicate with supervision on process issues. Training and career growth opportunities are provided within the Marmon organization.

Qualifications

• Experience operating extrusion lines or similar metal/plastic extrusion equipment.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing instruction sheets and quality checklists.
• Attention to detail in measuring conductor sizes, lengths, and insulation requirements.
• Good communication with supervisor and team to report issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate extrusion line to insulate bare wire conductors.
• Mount payoff reels, thread conductors, and adjust tension and line speeds.
• Verify wire size, strands, lengths and insulation materials according to specs.
• Complete documentation including OD charts, lot records and traveler tags.
