Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure in East Granby, CT is seeking a Production Operator for the night shift. You will set up and operate the extruder to insulate bare wire conductors of various sizes, monitor line performance, and ensure quality per manufacturing instructions and documentation.

The role requires attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to safety practices. This is a full-time, 3rd shift position (11pm–7am) with equal opportunity employer commitments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of extrusion line and equipment.
• Ability to set up and operate extruder to insulate wire conductors.
• Monitor for faulty operation and communicate issues.
• Complete required documentation per MIT and quality checks.
• Ability to work 3rd shift (11pm–7am).

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion line and equipment, including control panels and line accessories.
• Mount reels and thread conductor through tensioning systems.
• Set speeds, temperatures, and die tips to specifications.
• Prepare markers, tapes, and adhesives as required.
• Attend to machine, adjust tension and line speed as needed.
• Verify conductor size, strands, lengths, and insulation.
• Complete and file OD/wall charts, lot records, traveler tags and labor sheets.
