Surge Staffing in North Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Extruder Operator to join our plastics manufacturing team. You will prepare materials, set up extrusion equipment, monitor runs, and ensure product quality while maintaining equipment cleanliness.

The ideal candidate has plastic extrusion experience, strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow detailed production instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with plastic extrusion, thermoplastics, or related manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read production orders, work instructions and SDS sheets.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow production orders, work instructions and manufacturing requirements.
• Review BOMs and determine materials needed for each run.
• Prepare and stage raw materials for production, including drying and pre-blending.
• Prepare extrusion machinery and related upstream/downstream equipment for production.
• Thoroughly clean equipment according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Set extruder operating parameters according to specifications.
• Monitor extrusion processes and adjust parameters to maintain quality.
• Identify and address production issues or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized production area and document production records.
