Job summary

Branch's Civil Division is seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Excavator Operator to join our well-established, growing company. The Excavator Operator operates power shovel on which digger is pulled toward machine to excavate. All machines will be over ½ cubic yard.

Branch Builds, Inc. in Roanoke, VA seeks a Night Shift operator to run a power shovel with on‑call coverage and to support grading, maintenance and minor repairs with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction techniques.
• 1 to 3 years of excavator operating experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required

Compensation Data

Salary Min: $37,842

Salary Max: $63,090

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
