We are seeking an entry-level Production Operator to join our Ethanol production team. Training is provided!

This facility operates 24x7 and works 2 shifts per day (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Daily schedule includes weekend work on a rotating schedule. Shift assignment will be consistent but may not be permanent, so candidates must be able to work either day or night shift based on business needs.

Night shift assignment receives a $2.00 shift differential.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for operational functions associated with the production of fuel ethanol and co-products.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform processing functions in the cook, distillation, energy center, and/or distributed control system (DCS) areas of ethanol production with assistance.
• Perform activities related to processing functions such as corn grinding, cook operations, yeast and fermentation quality control, distillation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler operations.
• Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw material inputs to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Conduct product sampling, lab testing, document results, and report findings to leadership and laboratory personnel.
• Maintain documentation and record key production data as directed.
• Operate various types of mobile equipment.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks.

What is expected of you and others at this level

• Basic skills in analytical or scientific methods or operational processes.
• Work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adhere to quality guidelines.
• Work with close supervision.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience required.
• Basic computer operation and data entry skills.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred.
• Previous production experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

• Work is performed in a 24x7 ethanol production facility.
• Production team works 12-hour shifts; two small crews scheduled per day, including day and night shifts.
• Work schedule includes weekends and holidays. Shift assignment will be consistent. Must be flexible to work either day or night shifts based on business needs. Night shift receives a differential.
• Exposure to adverse weather, dust, fumes, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
• Must be willing and able to wear PPE as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Some work performed at heights.
