Locations/Shifts:
Our Griffin, GA facility is hiring Production Operators for our 12-hour Day/Night shift ONLY (rotating 3-days one week and 4-days the next)
Shifts are 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am.
Please do not apply if you can't work 12 hours.
Job Scope
Perform a variety of duties, including combining materials, assembling mold parts, filling molds, finishing molded products, performing visual inspections of molded products, and training other employees. Maintain safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and 5S standards daily.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Review, challenge, and verify all safety features on equipment and ensure the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Mold, finish, audit, and inspect molded products.
- Navigate and enter data into a computer system.
- Read, comprehend, and demonstrate the ability to follow documented procedures and other instructions.
- Meet or exceed daily production goals and quality requirements.
- Maintain daily 5S and housekeeping standards and schedules.
- Understand and meet yearly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.
- Be willing to embrace new technologies.
- Maintain a positive attitude, reliable attendance, and openness to change.
- Operate tools such as, but not limited to, air hoses, mold carts, pliers, hoists, and air blasters.
- Remove, clean, and install molds as required.
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts while standing, rotating shifts, and frequently push or pull molds and equipment exceeding weight limits and withstand excessive heat.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Must be able to work any shift as needed.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Must have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have basic computer and data entry knowledge, and the ability to operate a variety of tools.
- Maintain the integrity of lean manufacturing programs, including but not limited to pull systems, pointofuse storage, FIFO, and quickchangeover systems.
- Adhere to the integrity of all IATF 16949, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 quality standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
The Production Operator is a Full-Time position.
Will accrue vacation at a rate of 80 hours in the first year. On the 5th anniversary date, the vacation will increase to 120 hours.
Vernay offers 96 hours of paid holiday per year.

Base rate is $17.87., off shifts include a $3.00 shift premium which brings the hourly rate to $20.87/hour. With a 30, 60, 90 days, 6 months and 1 year automatic progression increases.
