Job summary

SAE HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL is seeking a part-time Nursing Support professional to assist in the Emergency Department under RN supervision.

The role involves greeting and directing patients, performing basic patient care, collecting blood samples when needed, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. BLS is required within 30 days; EMT/CNA preferred; 1 year healthcare experience preferred. Scheduled weekly hours: 24, night shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required.
• BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• EMT or CNA certification is preferred.
• 1 year healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment.
• Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to age and the individual's needs.
• May collect blood samples and process specimens.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment.
