Job summary

UChicago Medicine, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, is seeking an Emergency Room Technician at our Harvey, IL location. The ERT assists the nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care and demonstrates paramedic skills in line with Illinois law.

Qualified candidates include EMT-Bs, CNAs, or student nurses in clinical rotations. AHA BLS certification and CPR are required, with CPI certification by hire or soon after. Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7:30a, weekends optional.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Maintain AHA Basic Life Support Certification
• Maintain certifications/licensures, as applicable.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform a variety of patient assistance without direct supervision.
• Ability to interact effectively with patient, clinical staff, and the general public.
• Ability to adjust work schedules and activities based on needs of department.
