Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine in Harvey, IL seeks an Emergency Room Technician to support nursing staff in the ED. The role requires EMT-B/CNA credentials or enrollment in RN clinical rotations, with CPI certification upon hire or within 60 days.

Shifts are 12 hours, nights 7p-7:30a, every other weekend. Full-time (0.9 FTE) in the Emergency Room under SEIU. AHA BLS certification and relevant licensures are required.

The Emergency Room Technician assists and augments the registered nursing staff in providing high quality patient care in the Emergency Room. The ERT must demonstrate the expertise and competency of all paramedic skills in accordance with Illinois State law.
