Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, TX. This is a night shift, PRN position requiring ED experience and current Texas RN licensure.

Responsibilities include delivering direct patient care, implementing care plans, coordinating with the interprofessional team, and documenting patient status in the EHR/EMR to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing school or professional licensure at time of hire.
• Registered Nurse credential issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care as an RN following clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Implement and monitor care plans, assess conditions, adjust interventions to support recovery.
• Coordinate care across the interdisciplinary team to improve patient experience.
• Document patient status in EHR/EMR and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
