Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks a CLIN NURSE 2 to join the La Jolla Emergency Department at the Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center. This night-shift, 12-hour position is 90% appointment with a 66.25–92.86 hourly pay range.

The RN must graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with a California RN license and hold BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS; a minimum of 1 year ER RN experience is preferred. The department offers Magnet-designated care and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with California RN license.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire; ART within six months.
• PALS certification.
• Minimum 1 year ER RN experience (past two years).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement nursing interventions for diverse patient populations under supervision.
• Direct and resource other nursing team members as assigned; promote policy compliance.
• Promote a collaborative, high-quality patient care environment in the ED.
