Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires strong critical thinking, leadership, and the ability to work night shifts full-time. Certification in BLS and ACLS is mandatory, with Cerner EMR or EPIC familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required (RN)
• Active RN license in Florida
• 1+ year of ER experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS certifications required
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR or similar systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatments
• Collaborate with healthcare team for coordinated care
• Document all care activities in EMR accurately
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols
• Mentor and guide nursing staff
• Respond to life-threatening situations per protocols
