Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. seeks an experienced registered nurse to join the Night Shift in the Emergency Department - HO. You will provide professional nursing care, perform assessments, and coordinate with physicians and the care team to support safe patient outcomes.

You will maintain competency, participate in performance improvement, and educate patients and families throughout treatment and transitions. An RN license in PA is required or obtained on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in PA or able to obtain on hire.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with clinical documentation.
• BLS certification required at hire; ongoing credential maintenance.
• Ability to organize and prioritize patient care assignments.
• Completion of specialty orientation programs as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Uphold quality and safety standards and participate in performance improvement.
• Educate patients and families throughout treatment and transition of care.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentor new staff, and support unit goals.
• Utilize technology to enhance care delivery and documentation.
