Job summary

The Operating Technician at B. Braun Medical Inc. will operate and troubleshoot production equipment, follow SOPs, and maintain high standards of quality. You will train operators, contribute to standard-work improvements, and document activities meticulously in batch records and log books.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement through Kaizen events, 5S and related programs, with shift patterns and on-site attendance typical of a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years related experience OR technical requirements completed and pass assessment.
• Associate's or technical degree preferred; applicable certification may help.

Responsibilities

• Operate all assigned equipment following standard work SOPs.
• Work with manufacturing leaders to establish, implement, maintain, and enhance standard work.
• Conduct training for operators on standard work and troubleshooting techniques.
• Recommend changes to procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs (LPMS, 5S, KATA, Kaizen).
• Troubleshoot machine stoppage, perform repairs, and escalate for additional support.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance during downtime with operations, mechanics and engineers.
• Monitor production quality and take action per SOP.
• Document batch records, log books, PM and DM per good documentation practices.
