Job summary

T1 Energy is hiring an Equipment Technician to support maintenance of high-volume solar production lines at our Wilmer, Texas facility. You will perform preventative maintenance and rapid troubleshooting on automated robotics and manufacturing systems to minimize downtime and keep equipment running at peak performance.

This entry-level technical role is designed for hands-on problem solvers eager to build a career in American manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or higher in electrical or mechanical fields.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (photovoltaic preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and automation components.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Ability to operate shop equipment and hand tools.
• Comfort with data analysis using Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn and master the structure and working principle of factory production equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in good condition and to prevent failures.
• Maintain daily operation and maintenance records for equipment systems.
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery.
• Assist with machine alignment during installation using hoists and measuring tools.
• Support repairs for new equipment and ensure maintenance quality.
• Adhere to safety rules and installation standards at all times.
• Stand for 12-hour shifts and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
