Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Labor & Delivery Unit professional to support equipment and patient care operations during night shifts. This role emphasizes safe handling of medical equipment, timely cleaning, and accurate documentation to ensure high-quality patient care.

The position requires a HS Diploma or GED and healthcare experience; on-site work with a total of 24 hours per week, with hourly pay between $18.54 and $24.68, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Health Care experience with knowledge of patient care equipment.
• HS Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled equipment and specialty carts and returns them for cleaning.
• Terminally cleans equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations and inspects for safety.
• Performs inventory, requisitions and replenishes items using Materials Management Information System.
• Locates equipment using equipment tracking system.
• Documents and requisitions equipment rentals as needed.
• Documents equipment issues, repairs and locations.
• Delivers specialty carts and equipment within established priority guidelines.
• Assembles bedside patient traction upon request.
• Perinatal – handles and transports specimens and assists with patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
