Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and write required.
• Prior satisfactory work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hand dust, sweep, mop, spot clean, vacuum, wash walls, windows, sills, bathrooms; strip, seal, buff floors; bonnet buff and extract carpet.
• Remove bed linens, clean mattress and furniture in patient unit; empty wastebaskets; maintain daily discharge/transfer cleaning records.
• Transport equipment, supplies and waste (hazardous, contaminated, recycled).
• Ensure housekeeping equipment is clean, safe and maintained; report faulty equipment.
• Remove drapes and curtains for cleaning/repair.
• Replace consumables (toilet paper, towels, soap).
• Move furniture and change light bulbs.
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs and "OOPS" calls.
• Clean cardiac chairs, stretchers, wheelchairs and other equipment as directed.
• Operate tow motor to move trash carts to Waste Management Center.
• Perform other duties as required.
