Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital is seeking a night-shift Environmental Services Aide to perform general housekeeping across the facility, ensuring sanitary, safe, and attractive conditions in line with Joint Commission standards. This part-time role (32 hours/week) runs 10:00pm–6:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.

You'll work across departments including ER, OR, offices, lobbies, and patient rooms, carrying department phones when needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow written and/or verbal directions; differentiate color-coded labels and/or chemicals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs.
• Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Dispose of infectious waste and trash per guidelines.
• Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines.
• Follow infection prevention practices including PPE, hand hygiene, and isolation precautions.
• Maintain work and storage areas following established safety policies.
