Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital is seeking a part-time Environmental Services technician to support the EVS Dept. You will work 3:00pm–11:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, helping keep patient areas, lobbies, and offices clean and disinfected.

This role requires effective communication, ability to follow instructions, and adherence to Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred. The position offers benefits and pays $17.68–$22.99 per hour.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (Preferred).
• Clean and disinfect assigned areas following procedures.
• Handles infectious waste and trash per standards.
• Infection prevention practices including PPE and hand hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Dispose of infectious waste and trash per guidelines.
• Follow infection prevention practices and proper PPE usage.
• Maintain work and storage areas following established policies for safety.
