Job summary

The position requires the swing shift (5:00pm–1:30am) and includes weekend coverage; benefits eligible with a 10% shift differential. One year hospital cleaning experience is preferred, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills to differentiate color-coded labels and/or chemicals and follow directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs.
• Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas following procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly per Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Dispose of infectious waste and trash correctly.
• Handle and clean up emergency spills per guidelines and standards.
• Follow infection prevention practices including PPE protocols.
• Maintain safe work and storage areas per policy.
