Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an Environmental Services Staff at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, PeriOp Environmental Services. This 1.0 FTE night shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) role involves cleaning and maintaining a 110,000 sq ft area, including administrative and decontamination zones, with a focus on infection control and safety protocols.

Required is a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Environmental Sanitation.
• Dons appropriate PPE and follows infection control isolation precautions.
• Prepares cleaning solution according to standards.
• Cleans equipment and maintains floor stock.
• Removes trash and soiled linen; disposes of waste.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Performs periodic cleaning tasks and floor care per schedule.
• Reports safety concerns and participates in safety training.

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Equivalent Experience: 1 year (minimum) work experience
