Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring an Engineering Technician for 3rd shift at our Saegertown, PA manufacturing facility. In this hands-on technical role, you will support engineering staff with setup, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of mechanical equipment, machinery, and manufacturing processes.

This on-site, full-time hourly position offers a 3rd shift (Sun-Fri, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM) with occasional weekends and pay of $22–$28 per hour. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for mechanical issues.
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and meet specs.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery to support manufacturing processes.
• Perform routine tests, inspections, calibrations, and adjustments for safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance, identify issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on automation improvements and layouts.
• Assist with equipment modifications and repairs using hand/power tools.
• Read blueprints and specs to determine setup and requirements.
• Support design, fabrication, testing, and prototyping of components and processes.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records and safety compliance.
