Virtua Health in New Jersey seeks a certified EMT-B to provide high-quality 911 emergency medical response and interfacility transport, perform patient assessments, administer BLS care, and document care in the ePCR system. You will operate ambulances safely under state protocols and medical command directives, ensuring compassionate, efficient care in emergency and scheduled transports.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician — Basic Training Program.
• EMT-B certification preferred (NJ/PA or National Registry).
• Current CPR for professional rescuer and EVOC.
• Valid driver’s license; must be at least 18 years old.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts thorough patient assessments and provides basic life support (BLS) per NJ EMS Protocols and medical command directives.
• Operates an ambulance safely and in compliance with state laws and department policies; maintains vehicle readiness.
• Documents patient assessments, interventions, responses, and transfer of care in the ePCR system; supports QA requests.
• Performs start-of-shift vehicle and equipment checks; ensures supplies are stocked and functional.
• Maintains all Virtua-owned equipment, vehicles, and facilities; follows infection control protocols and decontamination procedures.
• Participates in training and onboarding of staff, students, and inter-agency personnel, providing mentorship and feedback.
