Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our Emergency Department team. This role is full-time with night shift hours and rotating weekends, located in Northern Virginia.

The EMT will support patient care, documentation and continuous monitoring as part of a skilled ED team. Ideal candidates hold a BLS cert from AHA and EMT-B certification (NREMT or Virginia license) and can attend a 6-week training.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS from American Heart Association and EMT-B certification; must be active NREMT or Virginia EMT license.
• English reading, writing and speaking; basic computer skills.

Mansioni

• Stabilize and immobilize patients and assist with splints; assess neurovascular status.
• Assist with patient transport and interfacility transfers.
• Collect specimens per policy; assist clinicians with specimen handling.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory; coordinate with materials management.
• Obtain 12-lead ECG and provide results to physician.
• Monitor patient progress and document in medical records.
• Provide wound care per standards; assist physicians and nurses.
• Follow procedures for demographic, diagnosis and insurance data.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
