Job summary

MMT Ambulance is seeking a Dispatcher in Omaha, NE to coordinate communications between field crews and facilities for ambulance transports. You will monitor requests, dispatch appropriately, and ensure timely responses while maintaining accuracy in information and a calm, professional demeanor.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage high-stress situations. Flexible scheduling including weekends/holidays is expected as part of our EMS operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Dispatch or medical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in spelling and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between field staff and facilities for ambulance transports.
• Ensure transport requests are picked up in a timely manner.
• Keep crews accounted for at all times and notify callers of delays.
• Operate dispatch systems and monitor multiple tasks with attention to detail.
