CHRISTUS Health in Ferguson, LA is seeking a competent RN to provide independent nursing care in a similar clinical setting. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions, and evaluation for assigned patients, with delegation as needed to other care team members.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of related nursing experience, a BSN preferred, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. New nurse orientation and ongoing competency validation are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• All Associates must obtain required certifications within the designated time frame.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.

Responsabilités

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients, family members and/or care givers; identifies issues and resources.
