Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is seeking aRegistered Nurse for our Davenport/Bettendorf Emergency departments. You will work night shifts (12 hours) for 36 hours per week, with options for every 2nd or 3rd weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required
• BSN preferred
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license within 1 year
• BLS required; ACLS required if telemetry monitoring
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire
• Strong language, math, critical thinking; basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Performs rapid and comprehensive assessments
• Develops and implements emergency care plans
• Delivers timely and effective interventions
• Prepares patients for diagnostic testing or transfer
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts care
• Facilitates communication and coordination
• Demonstrates competence in emergency nursing
• Manages multiple patients and prioritizes care
• Provides age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance
