Job summary

MercyOne Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Davenport and Bettendorf Emergency departments. The role features a 12-hour night shift (1900-0730), 36 hours per week across three shifts, with weekend rotation and holiday coverage.

The essential functions include rapid assessments, care planning, timely interventions, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a high-acuity ED setting. Iowa RN license plus Illinois license within a year is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL RN license within one year.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required only if telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform basic math.

Schedule

• Night Shift, 1900-0730
• 36 hours per week, 3 (12 hr) shifts
• Choice of every 2nd or 3rd weekend
• Holiday rotation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license, IL RN license within one year required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
• High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability
• Basic computer skills required
