Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Emergency Psych Assessment Specialist for night shifts. You will provide assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals for adolescents through advanced adults in the emergency department, coordinating with psychiatrists, nurses, and community resources.

Requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling, 1–3 years of related experience, and BLS. Compensation range shown, benefits package available, and opportunities to collaborate in a teaching

Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field is required.
One to three years of related experience is required.
BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

Provides assessment, crisis, individual and group therapy in the ED setting.
Coordinates treatment/referral recommendations with psychiatrists and other physicians.
Documents intake information in the electronic medical record.
Serves as patient advocate and coordinates admissions with care teams and community resources.
