Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Emergency Department EMT to assist clinicians with simple procedures and basic patient care across pediatric, adult, and infant populations. The role operates under the direction of a Registered Nurse within the ED and supports transport, splinting, and everyday patient needs.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification, with preferred ED experience and additional certifications to be completed within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to use standard healthcare systems.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the job (light to heavy lifting and/or pushing of patients or equipment).

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs, PAs or physicians with simple procedures and patient care.
• Provide support for infant, pediatric, and adult patient populations.
• Assist with patient transport, equipment checks, and inventory/logging per unit procedures.
