Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – St. Louis is seeking a nurse leader to provide night-shift leadership and coordination of unit staffing within the Emergency Department.

You will implement clinical objectives and ensure high-quality patient care across shifts. Requirements include RN licensure, a year of RN experience, and strong collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• RN with at least 1 year of experience.
• Licensed to practice in required states (IL/MO/OK/WI as per postings).

Responsibilities

• Directs and educates nursing staff during shift.
• Develops patient care assignments and monitors outcomes.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and addresses issues.
• Handles patient care complaints through established channels.
• Contributes to staff hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Maintains safety and alerts staff to hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
