Job summary

The role focuses on individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care using the nursing process, coordinating care across assessment, planning, and documentation. The RN will perform medication administration per SSH policies, maintain patient safety, develop and communicate care plans, support patient and family, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN license to practice in Massachusetts.
• CPR/BLS certification; ACLS and additional certifications may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration following SSH policies and procedures.
• Develop and document a prioritized plan of care for each patient.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with infection control policies.
• Assess, reassess and document patient needs and responses to care.
• Communicate care plans and barriers with the team and family.
• Facilitate discharge planning and patient education.
• Maintain professional development and compliance with hospital policies.
• Support patient and family-centered care and advocacy.
