Job summary

The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, is recruiting for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in Emergency Department or Urgent Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides urgent and emergent nursing care to patients with acute, chronic, medical, surgical, and psychiatric conditions.
• Delivers nursing care ranging from basic interventions to patient stabilization, resuscitation, and life-support measures.
• Implements care plans, including care coordination, health teaching, and health promotion.
• Evaluates progress towards achieving the expected goal and outcomes and adjusts plans as necessary.
• Demonstrates leadership, advanced clinical experience, and innovative approaches in managing complex patient care.
• Functions independently and collaboratively as a direct care provider, educator, administrator, researcher, consultant, leader, and patient advocate.
