The Genesis HealthCare System seeks an ED Nurse Supervisor to lead daily Emergency Department operations during night shifts. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure safe throughput, and collaborate with hospital teams to deliver high‑quality care.

You will manage staffing, bed placement, and surge responses, while maintaining regulatory compliance and coaching staff to meet performance goals. This role emphasizes patient‑centered care and operational excellence.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited nursing program and current Ohio RN Licensure.
• BSN or equivalent experience required.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience in a related field.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for staff and physicians.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and foster teamwork.
• Read, write, and communicate complex information to hospital staff.
• Plan, prioritize, and implement staffing and process improvements.
• PALS, TNCC, ACLS, BCRA, ENPC certifications within 12 months if available.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and coordinate nursing activities during assigned shifts and liaise with staff and providers.
• Manage staffing, breaks, and coverage based on patient acuity and volume.
• Monitor ED throughput metrics and initiate surge protocols as needed.
• Forecast bed needs and coordinate with units to expedite admissions and transfers.
• Provide direct patient care during high-acuity or surge situations when needed.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff in collaboration with ED educator and manager.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and competency validation.
• Monitor compliance with ACHC, CMS, ODH, EMTALA, and hospital policies.
