Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking an Electronics Technician to maintain and repair the Disneyland Resort rides and attractions in California. This role reports to the Reliability Manager and requires strong troubleshooting, circuits/motor control, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

You'll collaborate with vendors and Cast Members, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure electrical/electronic systems are safe and reliable for guests and crew alike.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and engineering documents and pass safety training.
  • Knowledge of control and repair of circuits and motors.
  • Strong troubleshooting; able to work alone or in a team.
  • Ability to estimate parts/materials and order through vendors.
  • Familiarity with CCTV, PA, lighting, projectors and wireless networks.

Responsibilities

  • Repair circuits/assemblies at Disneyland rides and attractions.
  • Troubleshoot high-efficiency laser lighting systems for parades.
  • Reset breakers on rides like Haunted Mansion.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Pixar Pier rides.
  • Repair and maintain electrical/electronic systems on rides like It's a Small World.
  • Replace/install lamps and switches to keep areas lit.
  • Ensure Monorail operates with PLC preventive maintenance.
  • Work on animations and attractions across the park.
  • Identify potential issues before they occur.
  • Work at night and on weekends/holidays.
