Magnera Corporation seeks an experienced maintenance technician to perform safe and reliable upkeep of production equipment in a 24/7 facility. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, use meters for troubleshooting, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plus basic electrical principles. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent and about five years in industrial

Qualificações

• Associate’s degree (A.S.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience working as a maintenance technician or equivalent education in industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
• Strictly comply with LO/TO policy.
• Troubleshoots and repairs problems with production equipment and continuously monitoring electrical and mechanical devices as part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan.
• Locate electrical trouble by using multi-meter, amp meter and megger.
• Repair and/or replace defective electrical equipment.
• Assist in calling vendors for assistance with equipment.
• Review work orders with resource as they are received, ask for clarification and confer with the requestor for additional clarification when needed.
• Originate and process emergency work orders when needed.
• Orders parts involved in repair and maintenance with assistance from the maintenance engineering team.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance.
• Good working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical principles.
• Performs work in the servicing of pumps, boilers, piping and related equipment.
• Suggests maintenance items to be included in preventive maintenance shutdowns
• Assists in writing and updating standard maintenance procedures.
• Stays informed of process changes which may affect the normal operation of the equipment.
• Performs small installations and equipment modification projects.
• Records all measurements during predictive and preventive maintenance activities to generate statistical charts for analysis.
• Provides training to operations technicians in maintenance activities associated with Total Productive Maintenance practices.
• Maintaining a team effort attitude and approach familiarizes self with new equipment and assists in training other technicians
• Having knowledge of and adhering to all departmental rules and regulations, as well as departmental procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Job functions will be performed in and around manufacturing facility

EFFORT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Requires prolonged sitting and frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity.
• The ability to occasional lift and carry of up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Required to occasionally ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.
• Required to safely access fast moving machinery, which includes rolls with inward nip points.
• Ability to work outside normal scheduled working hours when needed in a 24/7/365 operation.
