Job summary

Steelscape, LLC in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Night Shift Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems on a continuous metal processing line. You will work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, repairing electrical equipment, wiring, PLCs and instrumentation, and performing preventive maintenance with minimal guidance. Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and control panels is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus two years of technical school in electrical or electronic technology.
• Three to five years of experience as an electrical technician on a continuous metal processing line (galvanizing/paint coating) or equivalent.
• Strong ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and tests electrical equipment using wiring diagrams and determines material or replacement needs.
• Plans general working procedures, tools, and materials for equipment repairs.
• Locates the source of trouble in electrical equipment by tracing circuits and inspecting for mechanical issues.
• Dismantles, inspects, repairs, replaces or adjusts faulty parts and wiring on electrical equipment and controllers.
• Rewires, insulates, and reassembles equipment to achieve proper operating characteristics.
• Performs mechanical repairs and component replacements such as bearings, gears, shafts, and pins.
• Works on PLC and instrumentation controls; collaborates with plant maintenance.
• Performs regular calibrations and adjustments on combustion and instrumentation equipment.
