Job summary

CS Beef Packers LLC in Kuna, Idaho is seeking a maintenance electrician responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting and efficient operation of all plant electrical systems, from low voltage instrumentation to 480V 3-phase. You will diagnose complex circuit problems, install wiring and sensors, and keep the facility safe and compliant.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, inventory tracking, and assisting in training other electricians.

Qualifications

  • Read and follow written instructions and manuals.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, drawings, ladder logic and blueprints.
  • Proficient with electrical meters and testers.
  • Basic computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, record and diagnose electrical circuit problems using meters/testers.
  • Install new conduit, wiring, sensors and equipment.
  • Repair/replace faulty electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventative/predictive maintenance work orders.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation and GMP standards.
  • Maintain inventory and log daily activities.

Job description

This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and efficient operation of all electrical systems throughout the plant. Electrical systems range from low voltage instrumentation signals to 480vac 3phase.

Job duties include:

  • Troubleshooting, recording and diagnosing a wide range of complicated electrical circuit problems using electrical meters and testers.
  • New industrial conduit, wire, sensor and equipment installations.
  • Repair and replacement of faulty electrical systems, sensors and equipment.
  • Preventative/Predictive Maintenance work orders.
  • Following company standards for food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Keeping track of parts and equipment using inventory management system.
  • Logging daily activities and communicating with other team members about problems and solutions.
  • Continual learning, from directed education and self-taught studies.
  • Assist in the training of other electricians.

Necessary Skills:

  • Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, ladder logic and blueprints.
  • Competent understanding and use of various electrical meters and testers.
  • Basic computer literacy. Having basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must communicate and work well with team members. Must speak clearly, listen well and cooperate.
  • Attention to detail. Work must be neat, accurate and complete.
  • Analytical problem solving.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Tenacity-must stick with the problem until it's solved.
  • Take initiative. See a problem or a need and engage.
  • Understand and perform safe electrical work practices.
  • Competent use of ordinary hand tools, electrical tools, conduit benders and threaders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, Instrumentation, industrial motor control and sensors.
  • Knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
  • Rigid conduit bending, threading installation.
  • Current State of Idaho Journeyman card.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Applicants will be tested on electrical knowledge, skill and troubleshooting.

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends
