Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. in Gaylord, Minnesota is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator to ensure high quality egg products are packaged correctly on the 6:00pm–6:00am shift. You will maintain tray packers, monitor the shrink-wrap line, and support production with setup and cleanliness.

The role requires basic reading and writing, ability to follow GMPs, and basic math for proportions. Prior experience is helpful, with pay ranging from $21.93 to $27.54 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers or employees.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains tray packers and ensures proper operations.
• Maintains video jet: cleaned, with adequate liquid and legible coding.
• Monitors shrink-wrap machine and adds film as required.
• Fill in for other packaging operators during breaks/vacations.
• Set up equipment and materials for production runs.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Follow GMPs and report unsafe conditions affecting safety or quality.
• Perform sanitation procedures as required.
• Run and maintain extended run fillers and related equipment.
• Navigate tablets to conduct required quality and performance checks.
• Follow instructions for ingredient mixing and calculate proportions.
• Ensure food safety and product quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
